Debates played a huge part in New Hampshire primary vote: report

Nearly half of Republicans in New Hampshire’s presidential primary said they made up their minds in the last few days — and two-thirds said the debates were key, according to exit polls.

Roughly 75 percent of the Republicans said they were very worried about the US economy while about 60 percent expressed the same concern about possible terror attacks, CNN reported.

About half said they felt betrayed by GOP politicians and wanted the next president to be a political outsider, the network said.

Democrats, meanwhile, were not as likely to say they felt betrayed by their party — but 75 percent admitted they were worried about the economy, the exit polls showed.
