Published by Bleacher Report on Wed, 10 Feb 2016

The Denver Broncos, who won America's biggest game in Super Bowl 50 on Sunday, received a call from America's commander in chief on Tuesday. On the same day as the team's victory parade in which over a million fans packed Denver's streets to greet their heroes,President Barack Obama called up head coach Gary Kubiak and defensive end DeMarcus Ware to congratulate them on their big win. Broncos vice president of public relations Patrick Smyth caught the moment:Per Cameron Wolfe of theDenver Post, President Obama invited the team to the White House, and Kubiak accepted the invitation. The visit will take place at some point before the start of the 2016 NFL season. The president took to Twitter after the call: On Feb. 4, the POTUS recently welcomed the 2014-15 NBA champion Golden State Warriors to the White House, as its official Twitter account showed:When the Broncos do get to visit, they'll have an opportunity to question President Obama's prediction before the big game in which he picked the Carolina Panthers, per The Hill:The Broncos overwhelmed the president's choice of Carolina thanks to their defense and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, who recorded 2.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. Denver also set up an opportunity for quarterback Peyton Manning to retire a Super Bowl champion.
