Amy Schumer is set to join the cast of DreamWorks’ PTSD drama “Thank You for Your Service,” starring Miles Teller, sources tell Variety.

The film also stars Haley Bennett, Joe Cole, Beulah Koale, Scott Haze, Keisha Castle-Hughes, Brad Beyer, Omar Dorsey and Jayson Warner Smith.

“American Sniper” screenwriter Jason Hall makes his directorial debut on “Thank You for Your Service.” Hall also wrote the screenplay for the story that follows a group of U.S. soldiers returning from Iraq who struggle to integrate back into family and civilian life, while living with the memory of a war that threatens to destroy them long after they’ve left the battlefield. Jon Kilik is producing with Ann Ruark serving as executive producer. Filming is taking place in Atlanta.

“Thank You for Your Service” was published in 2013 by Sarah Crichton Books.

Universal Pictures is distributing the film in the U.S. and select international territories while Mister Smith Entertainment is overseeing distribution in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. DreamWorks partners Reliance will distribute the film in India and Entertainment One (eOne) in the U.K., Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Australia and New Zealand.
