Campaigning for the party candidate for Assembly bypolls to Muzaffarnagar seat, Shiv Sena national general secretary Sanjay Raut Tuesday asked BJP to announce the date for starting construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. Raut, a Rajya Sabha member, was in Muzaffarnagar to campaign for party candidate Pankaj Bhardwaj.
The UP chief of Shiv Sena, Anil Singh, said Raut has announced to provide every possible support to BJP if it starts work to construct Ram temple.

Meanwhile, Raut said that if Sena wins at least 25 seats in next Assembly elections, the party will declare a date for temple construction and take action too in that direction.
Without naming any religion, he said that fight is between Muzaffarnagar and Laxmi Nagar. Sena workers in Muzaffarnagar have been demanding renaming the district as Laxmi Nagar.
