Ireland's Sean O'Brien looks like he will be available for selection for this weekend's crucial Six Nations clash with France after training with team today at Carton House.

O'Brien missed the 16-16 draw with Wales on Sunday due to a hamstring injury but is likely to return to the openside flanker position for the game with Les Bleus on Saturday.

Rob Kearney also missed the Welsh draw and trained on his own away from the squad.

Ireland's back three on Sunday Keith Earls, Simon Zebo and Andrew Trimble all sat out training.

Commenting on the injury situation this morning, Schmidt said: "We've got a few guys who might struggle to back up. We've got guys who came off with knocks. Tommy O'Donnell was fine and was very perky after the game

"Keith Earls got a knock as well and we're just going to have to wait and see how he comes through his HIA assessments.

"Apart from that, I think there are some bruised bodies but no one that would be necessarily in doubt."
