Jr NTR’s latest film Nannaku Prematho has not only done great here but its overseas collections have been amazing. The film is now in the third position among Telugu films abroad.
Apart from the film’s subject and Jr NTR’s performance, there is another interesting reason behind the film’s success.
According to trade pundits, many wanted to show solidarity with Jr NTR and B.V.S.N Prasad, when everyone was against them.
“Even Pawan Kalyan had complained to Movie Artiste Association against Prasad regarding his remuneration for his earlier film. Many thought that it may affect the collections, but it turned out to be a sympathy factor for the film and both actor and producer benefitted,” a source said.
The source adds that it worked out better overseas, especially in the USA. “Jr NTR’s Temper too did well. But while it had collected Rs 5 crore, Nannaku Prematho collected nearly Rs 13 crore.”
