India reports 7.3pct jump in GDP over Oct-Dec

(MENAFN) India had its GDP increase by 7.3 percent throughout three months to Dec period of the 2015-16 fiscal year, based on recent reports.

The posted figure dropped slightly from the 7.7 percent climb logged in July-Sep, plus the growth rate is expected to be at 7.6 percent by the end of Jan-March.

Basically, the nation's progress was impacted by lower production in agriculture, forestry and fishing, electricity, water, gas and other utility services.

Moreover, underwhelming rainfall this year meant agriculture and allied activities posted bad growth of -1pct in Oct-Dec, compared to 2pct in the prior period.
