Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Feb 9 2016 1:55PM Apex court to hear KHADC appeal on Feb 12Shillong, Feb 9 (UNI) The special leave petition filed by the Khasi Hilla Autonomous District Council (KHADC) against the ruling of the Meghalaya High Court on headmen will be taken up by the Supreme Court in New Delhi on February 12. The KHADC had filed the special leave petition on January 19 challenging the order of the Meghalaya High Court which asked the State government to bring in a comprehensive legislation on the powers and functions of headmen in the State. The division bench comprising Chief Justice Uma Nath Singh and Justice T Nanda Kumar Singh also ruled that until a suitable legislation or an Ordinance is brought by the State government, the directions passed by the single bench headed by Justice S R Sen on December 10, 2014, will remain in force.Please log in to get detailed story.Tags: #Apex court to hear KHADC appeal on Feb 12
