Showing his deftness over both pen and brush, a solo poetry and painting exhibition of Mithaee Lal, an MFA second year student, BHU, was recently held in the city. Using ink and acrylic colours, the young artist through his sixty paintings depicted nature in its myriad form. The issue of deforestation, pollution of rivers was also addressed through the paintings.
“My work is dedicated to my village Balrampur, near Nepal border, which has abundance of natural beauty. Through my paintings I want to spread a message that it is our duty to preserve nature,” said the youngster.
The exhibition not only attracted art lovers but also litterateurs who appreciated the combination of poetry with art.
