Kozhikode: Biju Radhakrishnan, the prime accused in the solar scam, has alleged that the compact disc containing evidence of a close relationship between co-accused Saritha S Nair and chief minister Oommen Chandy was removed from its location in Coimbatore by the chief minister's personal staff, Saritha and Congress leader Thampanoor Ravi using police.

Biju raised the allegation in a letter addressed to the media, which was released when he appeared before the judicial first class magistrate court here in connection with a cheating case on Monday.
He alleged in the 14-page letter that the CD was removed from its location at Coimbatore by police personnel from Palakkad just one hour before he could reach the spot with the team sent by the judicial commission.
He said there were three copies of the CD kept in different places. "When I informed the commission that the CD can be recovered from Coimbatore, a police special branch official present there called up Perumbavoor DSP Harikrishnan and informed him.
The DSP contacted Saritha and took the address of all probable places where I could go and the CD was removed from the location using police personnel from Palakkad," he said.
Biju, however, said he had never claimed that the CD contained visuals of sexual links between Saritha and chief minister.
"But it has visuals showing the close relationship between them," he said in the letter.
Earlier, he told reporters that the allegation that he had handed over Rs 3.5 crore to the chief minister was true. He alleged that he handed over the money to Chandy at Ramanilayam, Thrissur and Puthuppally.
