Mitsubishi Chemical unit buys Brazilian capsule maker

TOKYO -- A Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings subsidiary has fully acquired Brazilian capsule maker Genix, aiming to establish itself in the growing Latin American pharmaceutical market.

     Japan's Qualicaps said Monday that it had acquired all outstanding Genix shares. The deal was worth around 5 billion yen ($43.3 million).
