KATRA, Feb 8: Mystery shrouds the death of a 9-year-old girl whose dead body was recovered from slum area near Ward No. 8 in Katra town this morning.
The locals of the area noticed the dead body of the minor girl lying in the bushes near Juggis of Behari labourers during early morning and informed police. The police party led by SHO Katra reached there. The police team after examining the unclaimed body, shifted it to the hospital.
Later, she was identified as Sanjana (9), daughter of Sanjay Kumar, of Pahar Ganj Jhompar Patti. The girl was missing since January 25, 2016 and the parents had lodged a missing report in this regard. The police suspected some foul play with her and after conducting postmortem at Katra hospital and performing legal formalities, handed over the body to the parents. Police has rounded up some suspects in this connection.
