Pune: The viscera of Nicholas Loyal (15) from New Delhi, whose body was exhumed from a room in Bendwadi in Phursungi about 20 km from Pune on Sunday morning, has been preserved by Sassoon General Hospital. The boy had gone missing from the capital last September.
Nicholas's mother Varita Loyal (40) and her paramour Yunus Rahmat Ali (33), a resident of Bendwadi but originally from Mumbai, are untraceable.

Senior police inspector Rajendra Mohite, in-charge of Hadapsar police station, said on Monday, "The body was sent to the hospital for a postmortem, but doctors in the forensic science department have preserved his viscera for expert opinion of the chemical analyser because it was highly decomposed." Nicholas was buried in a cemetery in Wanowrie on Monday morning.
The expert opinion will help doctors certify the cause of his death. "We will write to the chemical analyser to give his opinion as soon as possible," he added.
Inspector Anjum Bagwan (crime) from Hadapsar police station, who is investigating the case, said, "We have sent teams to various places to arrest the victim's mother and her paramour. They have been missing since the murder came to light. We have registered an offence of kidnapping, murder, destroying evidence with common intention against them under Indian Penal Code."
Police suspect both fled after killing the boy and burying him in their rented room to destroy evidence.
Nicholas, who was staying with his maternal grandfather Joseph Loyal in South Delhi, went missing in September 2015. Loyal had lodged a complaint with Neb Sarai police station. An offence of kidnapping was registered as the boy was a minor.
