Controversial Egyptian director Enas al Dughaidi made headlines this week after voicing her unorthodox opinions on sex and porn in an interview with Raghida Chalhoub on the TV talk show "100 Questions."

Enas shocked viewers when she said that "sex before marriage is not forbidden." Adding that men and women are entitled to have sex according to their own beliefs, culture and religion.

As for marriage, it's only a "piece of paper," according to Enas, who thinks that 65% of today's generation agrees with her.

It's no surprise that with Enas's frame of mind, she isn't exactly religious. In fact, she told Raghida that she doesn't believe in everything God says in his Holy Books.

"I spoke to God and told him that there are some things in religion that I don't believe in. I asked him to forgive me if I'm wrong," she said.

God might forgive Enas for her thoughts, but Arab conservative society is unforgiving of gay men, many of whom happen to be friends of Enas's.

"The majority of my male friends are gay, but they keep it a secret because this society would never accept them as they are, nor will it understand their true nature."

If these are her thoughts on sex and marriage, don't be surprised by her thoughts on the porn industry!

Enas said that she's against governments censoring porn websites in the Arab world because that will only lead to rebellion.

She believes in the old saying "each to their own," and admitted that she watches porn films to see what they have to offer, and whether they are artistic or not.
