New Bristol City manager Lee Johnson has insisted he wants to emerge from his father's shadow.
The 34-year-old returned to Ashton Gate on Saturday after leaving Sky Bet League 1 side Barnsley, following just under a year at Oakwell.
Johnson's dad Gary also managed the Robins between 2005 and 2010, losing the Sky Bet Championship play-off final in 2008.
The Robins are third bottom in the Championship and Johnson wants to prove he can branch out on his own.
"My dad hasn't stopped going on about it. He's very proud. But I want to break away from the Gary Johnson link and be my own man," Johnson, who made 199 appearances for the club between 2006 and 2012, told the club's official site.
"It's a no-brainer because I know the plans of the people and it's a fantastic opportunity for me - one I'm very, very grateful for," he told the club's official site.
"I've got so many friends and family here. I played here for six years and I support the club.
"Between Bristol City and Yeovil, I've spent 10 years of my life in the south-west.
"You feel like you're coming home - it's the people, the town, the stadium and the excitement of everything that's happening.
"To come back when it's in my heart and in my blood is just a fantastic personal achievement."
