Two BJP MLAs from Kutch received abusive threat messages on their mobile phones on Friday and a complaint in this regard was registered at the Mundra police station on Saturday.

Rajkot: Two BJP MLAs from Kutch received abusive threat messages on their mobile phones on Friday and a complaint in this regard was registered at the Mundra police station on Saturday.
Tarachand Cheda, state minister for cottage industries, and MLA from Mandvi assembly, as well as Gandhidham legislator Ramesh Maheshwari, received messages on their respective mobile phones.
The sender had used abusive language in half-a-dozen messages and also threatened to kill them.
Cheda's son Jigar (26), on Saturday, lodged a complaint with the Mundra police against the unknown sender. Based on the phone number, police have found out that the phone number is registered in the name of an Ahmedabad-based man Prashant Patel, who is working as talati in Kutch. Police investigation also revealed that Patel was on sick leave since the last one month.
Investigating officer D B Rana of Mundra police said that they are trying to trace Patel and will soon question him.
