Oregon Child Welfare To Pilot Two Foster Care Models, One Urban & One Rural

The Oregon child welfare system is planning to test two foster care models to improve placement stability and child well-being; one will be tested in an urban area of the state and the other will be tested in a rural area. The models will target children up to age 20 who have experienced multiple foster care placements and who are at significant risk of developing lifelong emotional, behavioral, developmental and physical consequences due to disrupted and unsuccessful placements in the foster care system.
