3 held with charas, smack

Chandigarh: The UT police on Sunday arrested three persons from different parts of the city and recovered 750 gram charas and 10 gram smack from them.
While Abbas Mia, a resident of Bihar, was arretsed from Industrial Area with 350 gram charas, Raju of Hallo Majra was held near Haryana roadways workshop, Ramdarbar, and 400 gram charas was recovered from him.The two arrests were made by the operation wing of the UT police.
The third accused has been identified as Mandeep alias Mani of Burail village. He was arrested by the crime branch from Sabji Mandi ground, Sector 46, and 10 gram smack was recovered from him.
Cases have been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at different police stations and investigations have been initiated.
