Raina, Ambardar join KPs to pay tributes to 1947 martyrs

JAMMU, Feb 7: Firebrand BJP leader Ravinder Raina, Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Surinder Ambardar, Member Legislative Council (MLC) joined a large gathering of Kashmiri Pandits as chief guest and guest of honour respectively and paid floral tribute to martyrs of 1947-48 at Sanjeevani Shardha Kendra, Anand Nagar, Bohri, here today.
ML Raina, Director Rural Development Department presided over the function, while Prof KN Pandita was also present on the occasion.
Paying tributes to the martyrs of 1947, Ravinder Raina said that Kashmiri Pandits had a great role in Nation building from the times immemorial and described KPs as real nationalists.
Terming the act of ‘kabalis’ not only gruesome, brutal or barbaric, but satanic too, Mr Raina said that the martyrs sacrificed their lives to the satanic acts of the marauders.
He said Kashmiri Pandits have set an example in nationalism and have nothing to prove in this regard, adding that it is because of the same KPs that the separatists with sinister designs time and again fail to advocate for ‘Azadi’ at the International fora.
Mr Ambardar while speaking on the occasion said that Kashmiri Pandits had been victims of the terrorists many a time up to their mass exodus in 1990.
Prof KN Pandita, ML Raina, JL Bhat, Radha Krishan,   Prof Ramesh Bhat and Virender Kuchroo also spoke on the occasion.
Master Ayush Trakroo recited a poem which touched everybody’s heart.
