Brothel offering sex for ‘old men’ busted in Mahboula

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 7: Ahmadi securitymen raided a flat in Mahboula area used for prostitution and arrested several nationals of Sri Lankan origin and Madagascar. The women reportedly charged KD 20 for sex and offered sex boosters to older men to attract customers, says Al-Seyassah. Apparently, the activities conducted in the flat were monitored via camera to prevent entry of suspicious people. Security sources said officers from Ahmadi security directorate received a tip-off that women in the flat were into flesh trade and they serviced older men who normally visited the place from 8:00am to 7:00pm everyday, except Fridays, dressed in the national attire. Guarded with search and arrest warrant, the officers raided the premises and arrested several women from Sri Lanka and Madagascar along with a Kuwaiti citizen, and confiscated indecent clothes, camera and other gadgets for monitoring the flat, plus KD 49 cash. All suspects were referred to concerned authorities.

Selling lines to inmates: Police arrested two Egyptians, working in a shop, for selling cell phones and lines to inmates at the Central Prison in exchange for a large amount, reports Al-Anba daily. In details, a security source said the owner of a shop lodged a complaint with Hawally police accusing two Egyptian salesmen of misusing civil IDs kept in the shop as the residency permits of the holders of these IDs were cancelled and they already left the country. He disclosed the suspect used the civil IDs to purchase lines in their names and then sold the lines to inmates. The source added the complainant expressed fear he would be involved in terrorism-related crimes, adding he also discovered that the two salesman embezzled money from the shop. During interrogation, the two Egyptians admitted to the crime. They said an employee in the Ministry of Interior gave them information such as the names of persons whose Civil IDs were kept in the shop and who left the country.

Brother threatened: Police arrested a Kuwaiti man for attempting to fire a gun at his brother, reports Al-Anba daily. A security source said a citizen called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry saying that his brother, the suspect, was carrying a firearm and tried to storm into his house to kill him. Police rushed to the house but the suspect ran away so a hot chase ensued, leading to his arrest. During interrogation, the suspect admitted the act saying he had a dispute with his brother.

Costly parts stolen: Jahra police arrested two Kuwaiti young men for stealing car parts from luxury cars which are being repaired in garages at Sulaibiya, reports Al-Anba daily. The two young men were nabbed as they appeared confused when police approached. The two thieves wore dirty clothes resulting from dismantling expensive parts from the engine of a parked car. They admitted to breaking the window of the car, then they opened the hood and stole the parts
