VALENCIA, Spain, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Spanish authorities on Sunday arrested seven members of a suspected Islamic State cell in the cities of Valencia, Alicante and the North African enclave of Ceuta.
The suspects -- a Syrian, a Moroccan and four Spanish citizens of Moroccan, Syrian and Jordanian origin -- stand accused of providing logistical support to IS forces in Iraq and Syria, including supplying women for the jihadists in both countries, police said.
Authorities did not release details about a seventh reported suspect.
The suspects were apprehended in raids being conducted as part of an ongoing 2014 investigation into whether militant groups such as IS and the Nusra Front, al-Qaida's Syrian affiliate, were establishing "foreign structures" on Spanish soil.
The arrests come as international authorities continue to apprehend suspects in connection with November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris that killed 130 people.
