A 19-year-old woman was slashed on the leg by a stranger while out for a run in Queens on Sunday morning, according to police sources.
The victim was on 25th Avenue between 79th and 80th streets in Jackson Heights at around 11:15 a.m. when the assailant struck.
He used an unknown object to cut her on the thigh as she jogged past him.
She was taken to Elmhurst General Hospital, where she was in stable condition.
The attacker was wearing a gray hoodie.
Police released no further description of the suspect, who was still being sought Sunday night.
