Police registers FIR against 3 for PhD scholar suicide in Raj

Ajmer, Feb 7 (UNI) Police have registered a case against three faculty members of the Central University Rajasthan (CURAJ), in connection with the alleged suicide of a PhD scholar in the varsity, police said.
Research scholar, Mohit Chauhan, who was pursuing his doctorate degree in Mathematics at the Ajmer-based central university, was found hanging from the ceiling inside his hostel room on Friday evening.
The case was registered yesterday on a complaint by Mohit's father Dinesh Kumar against assistant professor Vidyottama Jain, the guide under whom he was pursuing his PhD, head of the Mathematics department D C Sharma, and Dean (Research) Aditya K Gupta with Bandarsindari police station in Ajmer rural, they said.
