Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone won the "Couple of the Year" award for the movie "Bajirao Mastani" at Nykaa.com Femina Beauty Awards (NFBA) 2016. Also, on behalf of Deepika Padukone, Ranveer received "Woman of the Year" award at the event.
Ranveer and Deepika have now almost become two inseparable names, courtesy their rumoured relationship. Deepika won the "Woman of the Year" award but she could not attend the event as she is currently busy with the shooting of her debut Hollywood project "XXX-The Return of Xander Cage".
Ranveer received the award on his rumoured girlfriend's behalf and showing his funny side after receiving the honour, he said: "Wow! Woman of the year." This left the audience laughing and then the actor said some praising words for the actress on a serious note.
"To be honest, woman of the year -- I am really, really, really proud of her. She is a lovely girl. She is so grounded in spite of experiencing staggering success," Deepika's rumoured boyfriend said.
Although Ranveer and Deepika never admitted it in public, the duo are rumoured to be a couple in real life, too, as their off screen chemistry is no less good than that of their onscreen camaraderie.
Other celebrities who were present at the event are Sonakshi Sinha, Sunny Leone, Dia Mirza, Athiya Shetty, Monica Dogra, Richa Chadha, Mandana Karimi, Ali Fazal , Keith Sequeira, among others. The event was hosted by Sophie Choudry and also marked the presence of stand-up comedian Aditi Mittal and Ragga Trippin.
