New Delhi: After the Morkels and Husseys, a new pair of brothers is set to feature in the Indian Premier League.

Hardik and Krunal Pandya will be part of the Mumbai Indians' camp in the next edition of the cash-rich league.

On Saturday, the IPL champions secured the services of Krunal for Rs 2 crore. Interestingly, Hardik who is now part of India's T20 squad, was bought by MI for only Rs 10 lakh in the 2015 auction.

Despite Mumbai betting big on him, Krunal has not played a single first-class cricket match.

The 24-year-old has played in only 4 List A matches, scoring a total of 59 runs and picking up 5 scalps. In 15 T20 games, the Baroda cricketer has scored 167 and bagged 16 wickets.

“We have been scouting for talents last seven months. We were looking for the particular type of player for our squad and how we can utilize them. Krunal apart from being Hardik’s brother is a left arm spinner and batsman. Having Hardik added to the incentive,” Mumbai Indians’ Akash Ambani was quoted as saying by the Indian Express.

Hardik was delighted for his brother and said the duo was geared up for the IPL season.

Apart from the Pandya duo, Shaun and Mitch Marsh too will be playing in the IPL this season.

Shaun is a part of the KXIP camp, while Mitch was bought by the Rising Pune Supergiants at the Bengaluru auction.
