BENGALURU: The staggered industrial holiday introduced for industries in the Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) region was withdrawn on Saturday after improvement in power supply.
The staggered holiday was introduced in October. Announcing the lifting of restrictions, energy minister DK Shiva Kumar said supply had considerably improved in thermal power generation and revival of the 1,000MW at Kudankulam nuclear power plant in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu."There is no gap in demand and supply and the state is getting 9,000 MW,'' he added.
