Kummanam lashes out at Antony

BJP to move Delhi High Court on solar scam

February 07, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:47 am IST - PATHANAMTHITTA:

Senior Congress leader A.K. Antony should first advise his party president Sonia Gandhi and vice president Rahul Gandhi to facilitate normal functioning of Parliament, Bharatiya Janata Party State president Kummanam Rajasekharan has said.

‘Pseudo morality’

Talking to reporters here on Saturday, Mr. Rajasekharan said Mr. Antony’s “pseudo morality” was exposed when he gave a clean chit to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy who was facing serious charges of corruption.

Mr. Rajasekharan said the BJP would soon move the Delhi High Court taking up the claim of the solar scam-accused Saritha S. Nair that she had handed over Rs.1.10 crore in bribe to Mr. Chandy’s aide Thomas Kuruvila in Delhi. The BJP demanded a CBI probe into the solar scam as it involved alleged unholy deals made outside the State.

About the proposed Athirappilly hydroelectric project, Mr. Rajasekharan said the BJP had made its stand clear on the same and Union Minister for Environment and Forests Prakash Javadekar had clarified that the Centre had not given any clearance for the project.
