MENDHAR, Feb 6: Mystery shrouds the death of a 60-year-old villager, whose body was recovered from fields near his house at village Kottan in Mendhar Sub Division this afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Sharief, son Ahmed Din, resident of Kottan in Mendhar. A villager noticed the man lying in the field unconscious and narrated the matter to his family members. They rushed to the spot and shifted him to Sub District Hospital, Mendhar where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The deceased had an injury on his head. The family suspected it as murder. The police took cognizance of the matter and sent body for postmortem.
