32-year-old man attempts to kill wife

Nagpur: Refused Rs 2,000 to start a petty business, 32-year-old Mohammad Irshad poured kerosene on his wife, AthiyaParveen, 28, and set her ablaze. Luckily, neighbours rescued her and rushed her to Mayo Hospital where she is battling for life.
Man assaulted over old rivalry
Irfan Shaikh, a resident of Bajpayee Nagar, was assaulted by one Saleem over an old dispute between the two families.Shaikh, 36, had gone to drop his relative at home when Saleem attacked him with sharp weapons at Shivaji Nagar on Friday evening. Shaikh is undergoing treatment at Mayo Hospital while Kotwali police has booked Saleem for attempt to murder charges.
