Chandigarh: Former INLD MP Inder Singh moved a criminal application against Kurukshetra MP Raj Kumar Saini and former minister minister Roshan Lal Arya in a Rohtak court over the issue of reservation for Jat community.
The former MP accused Saini and Arya of instigating and creating unrest among the masses leading to riots-like situation. Citing a rally organized by Pichhda Varg Sangharsh Samiti, Inder sought action against Saini and Arya under sections 153A, 153B, 504, 504B and 120 of the IPC.
"Both of them are trying to create caste based divide in society. And during the rally, both of them had used unparliamentary language against Jat community and its leaders. We are waiting for the first hearing to be held on Monday. The way they are continuing, they need to be tried and punished by the law of the land, hence we have moved this criminal complaint," said Inder.
The incident dates back to November 14, 2015 when Arya and Saini had jointly addressed the public meeting of backward classes at Rohtak. In their address, both had allegedly used rough language against Jats and their leaders while opposing the reservation for the community under the OBC category.
