ALLAHABAD: Advocating for non-implementation of Common Civil Code, the Dharam Sansad, organised in the magh mela area of the city, resolved that it is neither correct nor advisable. Before even thinking of implementing the same, the government should take opinion of all section of the society.
The saints, under the leadership of Shankracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, further resolved that the government should not acquire or attach the property of the temples or mutts and infact should return the same if already done so.

On the issue of present caste system, the saints said that the caste system is correct and still relevant in the present society. It keeps a perfect balance in the social structure.
On the ongoing developmental projects, they opined that these projects are not as per vedic practice because of which they are bound to bring destruction which are manifested in form of tremors and flood.
They also said that in the present scenario, there is no respect for the religious leaders and gurus. In the democratic countries, they are thought to be playing no role in the governance which is not correct. Politicians are elected whereas religious leaders depicts faith of common man.
They also warned against following new inventions blindly and said that it would have catastrophic effect because inventions should be as per our tradition and culture and our needs.
