Haryana girls exit in quarterfinals of Sub Junior national basketball

Puducherry, Feb 6(UNI)After defeating Telengana in the pre-quarterfinals,Haryana girls lost momentum as well as the quarterfinal match to last year’s runner up Chattisgarh in the 42nd sub-junior national basketball championships here this afternoon.
However,Haryana girls team in which Priyanka Gandhi’s daughter is one of the key players, will have to stay back for the classification matches tomorrow and Monday.
Haryana, which lost to Chattisgarh 74 -32 was leading 10-9 in the first quarter.However,the team went way ward and lost the match.Priyanka Gandhi’s daughter Miraya,who played in the second and fourth quarter failed to contribute to the team.Chhattisgarh, who trailed 9-10 after the first quarter capitalised on Haryana’s weakness of not having a ball handler or a shooter in the seond quarter and went on to take commanding lead with 45-11.
