Track work halts trains from Bokaro

Two trains were cancelled and at least six long-distance trains were affected following track upgradation work at Kathara between Bokaro and Dhanbad railway stations under Adra railway division on Friday.

Bokaro: Two trains were cancelled and at least six long-distance trains were affected following track upgradation work at Kathara between Bokaro and Dhanbad railway stations under Adra railway division on Friday. Movement along these routes will remain affected till Monday, said Uttam Kumar, chief commercial inspector of Bokaro railway.
Two passenger trains, Dhanbad-Muri and Dhanbad-Ranchi, have been cancelled for five days.
"Non-interlocking work is underway at Kathara. This had led to the cancellation of passenger trains and diversion of long-distance trains via Gomoh," said Kumar.
The five trains, including Howrah-Ranchi Shatabdi Express, Dhanbad Allepy Express, Dhanbad Bhubneshwar Garib Rath Express, Ranchi-Kamkhaya Express and other express trains have been diverted via Gomoh railway station on February 7 and 8.
The Jhargram-Dhanbad Memu train will be short terminated at Bokaro railway station till February, 8, said Kumar.
