The recently-crowned Miss Tourism Siaya will play a greater role in marketing the county.
Dorothy Awino on Wednesday signed an MoU with the Tourism department.
Governor Cornel Rasanga’s wife Rosella said the deal will give her office and the department a proper engagement platform with the county’s top three beauty queens.
She urged winners to be aggressive in finding opportunities for marketing themselves as well as the county.
Awino was awarded Sh100,000, first runner-up Wendy Odhiambo got Sh50,000 and second runner-up Cynthia Kowi Sh30,000.
