Educationist NA Kareem laid to rest

Thiruvananthapuram: N A Kareem, educationist and former pro-vice-chancellor of Kerala University , was laid to rest here on Friday . Earlier, people from different walks of life paid their respects to him at his residence here.
Chief minister Oommen Chandy, ministers P K Abdu Rabb, Ramesh Chennithala, KPCC president V M Sudheeran, higher education council vice-chairman T P Sreenivasan, CPM leaders M Vijayakumar, T M Thomas Isaac, Suresh Kurup and S Sharma were among those who paid their tributes.
Aligarh Muslim University former vice-chancellor P K Abdul Aziz said in his condolence message that the civil society will miss “one of its ardent voices of liberalism and free thought.“
