MUZZAFARABAD - The Parliamentary leader of Muttahida Quami Movement in Kashmir Assembly Tahir Khokar tried to read the statement of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain in connection with Kashmir Day at a joint-session but the Speaker did not allow him to narrate the statement.
In a statement, the Parliamentarian said that the speeches, news and interviews of Altaf Hussain were banned only on media publications and relay but no legal bounding to narrate his statement at Assembly floor.
He strongly protested against the Speaker and finally walk-out the session in protest.
Tahir Khokar said, “MQM is the third largest political force of the country and his solidarity statement reflects MQM’s support and stance on Kashmir cause.
He said that the joint-session was called to discuss Kashmir issue and not allowing to narrating the statement was condemnable.
He also said that MQM’s stance was quite clear on Kashmir issue and it always supported plebiscite option to resolve Kashmir issue.
