Naidu, Lokesh didn’t cut much ice

February 06, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - HYDERABAD:

The campaign by TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh apparently did not go down well with the electorate. The high voltage campaign saw Mr. Naidu and Mr. Lokesh trying to appeal to voters about the development that was ushered in during the TDP regime placing the city in the list of global destinations. Mr. Naidu in particular was assertive that Cyberabad, housing the IT establishment of the city, was his creation and that his foot print was clearly visible in every aspect of the city’s development.

Mr. Lokesh on his part was critical about the TRS leadership for neglecting the development of the city which led to downgrading of its rank at the national level. The two referred repeatedly about the threats purportedly handed over by the TRS to the safety of the people of AP origin residing here and reiterated the TDP’s commitment to protect their interests in the GHMC area.
