The exhibition-on-wheels organised by Kerala Lalithakala Akademi wound up the show at Bekal Fort on Friday.

The moving art gallery, which began its journey from Thiruvananthapuram on January 20, was organised with an objective of showcasing classic paintings in places in the State which do not have art galleries.

The exhibition also paved the way for developing a common platform at different locations in the State, enabling hundreds of artists and cultural activists interact and exchange their ideas.

The final lap of the exhibition was inaugurated by acclaimed artist P.S. Puninjithaya.

Addressing the valedictory function, Mr. Puninjithaya said the exhibition was a great success. Colour festivals, workshops and cultural meets formed part of the exhibition as it reached various district headquarters.

Kerala Lalithakala Akademi secretary Vaikom M.K. Shibu presided over the function.

Akademi chairman Kattoor Narayana Pillai, artist Damodaran Nambidi, Pallikkare grama panchayat president Indira, Folklore Academy vice-chairman Suresh Kuthuparamba, Akademi members Sudhir Vengara and artist Sasikala were present at the function.
