Third high-rise suicide in a fortnight

Ahmedabad: This is third suicide in the past fortnight in Ahmedabad where the victims have resorted to high-rises to end life. It started with Bhoomi Desai, 25, on January 21. She jumped from 10th floor terrace of Sachin Tower in Anandnagar.
On January 28, Tarun Parmar, 22, a resident of Anmol Towers in Shahibaug, jumped from the terrace of the high-rise to end life.While Bhoomi had marital issues, Tarun had issues related to studies. In Surat, a class XII student had jumped to death from 12th floor and a newly-wed woman had jumped off a high-rise in January.
Gujarat-based psychologists are launching a statewide drive 'Jivish' (I will live) from Sunday to reach out to school and college teachers for training on prevention part.
