Rocket launches are fun to watch — particularly when they go right — and as private spaceflight companies like Blue Origin and SpaceX have shown recently, so are rocket landings.
Here's one, Blue Origin's New Shepherd coming down on Jan. 22, from a perspective you likely haven't seen before: the rocket itself. The rocket launched from and landed at the company's testing facility in West Texas.
SpaceX and Blue Origin have been dueling over various pioneering efforts in spaceflight: Both have now recovered launched rockets, though the latter company, owned by Amazon's Jeff Bezos, is the first to reuse one.

Of course, as rival Elon Musk has been quick to point out before, the two rockets are very different: New Shepherd is a smaller, lighter option for getting to the edge of space, while SpaceX's Falcon 9 is for delivering much heavier cargo into orbit.
