Quark 2016, an annual techno-management festival of BITS Pilani K.K. Birla Goa Campus, was inaugurated at Sancoale in South Goa on Thursday with the lighting of the traditional lamp.
Commander Raghunath Nair was the chief guest for the evening while Commander Abhishek Ram was the guest of honour. Convener of Quark Abhinav Setia declared the festival open.
The festival has grown manifold over the years, with Quark 2016 all set to be one of the biggest. The crowd was overjoyed, looking forward to the three fun-filled days. The ceremony was followed by a mesmerising dance performance by two of the students, and a talk about innovation by Shail Maniar, managing director and vice-president, Sabre India, title sponsors of the festival.
The evening ended with an amazing act by Mime Club of BITS Pilani Goa which left the crowd stupefied. The organisers are determined to make Quark 2016 a “cosmic odyssey”, a journey like never before.
