As many as 119 nominations were filed for the zilla and taluk panchayat elections in Yadgir district on Friday.
Of them, 27 nominations were filed for the zilla panchayat elections and 92 were filed the taluk panchayat elections.
Of the nominations filed for zilla panchayat elections, 16 are from the Congress, five are from the Bharatiya Janata Party, four are from the Janata Dal (Secular) and one is from the BSP.
Of the nominations filed for the taluk panchayat elections, 59 are from the Congress, 22 are from the BJP, four are from the Janata Dal (Secular) and seven are from other parties.
As many as 34 nomination papers have been filed so far for zilla panchayat elections and 105 for the taluk panchayat elections.
