Munjal Showa disclosed a sharp drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended December 2015. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 16.08% to Rs 144.60 million from Rs 172.32 million in the same quarter previous year.
Revenues for the quarter declined 5.78% to Rs 3,665.90 million, compared with Rs 3,890.91 million for the prior year period.
Operating margin for the quarter stood at 4.98 percent as compared to 6.03 percent for the previous year period. Operating Income for the quarter was Rs 182.56 million, compared with Rs 234.708 million in the previous year period.
Earnings per share for the quarter stood at Rs 3.62, registering 16.01% decline over previous year period.

Shares of the company gained Rs 4, or 2.35%, to trade at Rs 174.20. The total volume of shares traded was 22,971 at the BSE (3.36 p.m., Friday).
