Lotto prize of €1m remains unclaimed with just hours to go

National Lottery encourages players to check everywhere for ticket as deadline looms

With just a few hours to go for one lucky person to collect their €1 million jackpot, a National Lottery spokeswoman said that no-one has yet been in contact to claim the prize.

If the Lotto prize remains unclaimed,She said in accordance with their licence all unclaimed prizes must be used “exclusively to promote the National Lottery with the core objective of raising funds for good causes”.

The winning €2 Quick Pick ticket was bought on Monday, November 9th, at the Bus Stop Kiosk in Rathfarnham, Dublin 14.

The winner must claim their prize by 5.30pm this evening and the National Lottery is urging all players to check everywhere including their pockets, cars and handbags, before it is too late.

The winning numbers for the unclaimed prize are: 9, 10, 11, 15, 17, 20 and the bonus number 16.

Around 2 per cent of National Lottery sales go unclaimed annually, approximately €12 million, based on 2014 sales.

In 2012, another winning player who bought their ticket in the same shop did not claim their prize of €350,000.

Winners can claim prizes within 90 days of the draw being made, and prizes worth over € 15,000 must be collected from National Lottery headquarters in Dublin.
