Gurgaon: In what comes as a major relief to thousands of residents living in private builder areas and not getting proper maintenance and services, the Haryana government has not decided to hand these colonies to the municipal corporation of Gurgaon (MCG).
In a major decision taken in the larger interest of residents of licensed colonies, namely Palam Vihar, Sushant Lok (Phase I) and DLF (Phase I to III), the Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal on Friday accorded approval for their transfer to MCG for their maintenance and up-keep.

“Services like roads, water supply, sewerage and open spaces in these colonies have been operational satisfactorily for more than five years, the concerned colonizers have been directed to transfer these colonies to Municipal Corporation, Gurgaon on ‘as is where is’ basis,” said a spokesperson of Town and Country Planning Department.
