Second murder arrest after body found in Stratford-upon-Avon

Detectives have made a second arrest in connection with the death of a 20-year-old woman found with neck injuries in Stratford-upon-Avon.

A 20-year old man, from Stratford, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Thursday evening and is in police custody.

A 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of the same offence the day before and also remains in custody.

The dead woman is still to be formally identified.

She was found with wounds to the neck at a property in Hertford Road at about 19:00 GMT on Wednesday.

A post-mortem examination has yet to be carried out however the woman's next of kin have been informed, police said.

A spokesperson for Warwickshire Police said searches were continuing in Brookfield Court in the town.
