About 500 youth participated in youth mela of Army at Tanghdar near LoC

Srinagar, Feb 5 (UNI) About 500 youths took part in the “Youth Mela” organised by the Army to make the youths aware of government schemes and employment opportunities at border town of Tangdhar near the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir.
The main aim of the mela was to make the youth aware of government schemes related to employment opportunities and schemes under Pardahan Mantri Mudra Yojna (PMMY) as also National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Defence Ministry spokesman Col N N Joshi said here today.
He said the mela had an overwhelming response where 500 youths between the age group of 18 and 30 years from different far flung and remote areas, including Tangdhar, Channipura, Gundi Gujaran Tithwal, Dildar, Khorpora, Bagbella and Kandi congregated to learn about the various employment opportunities and Loan Schemes under PMMY and facilities provided by NSDC.
