Army,cops nab NDFB(S) militant

Guwahati: A militant was arrested in a joint operation by the Army and the Assam Police on Thursday morning in Kokrajhar district. Acting on a tip-off, the team cordoned Gorebil village. When the rebel noticed the security forces, he tried to run away but was apprehended.
He has been identified as Lothen Basumatary @ Birai (42). A 7.65mm pistol and some ammunition have been seized.He was wanted in many cases and is a self-styled NDFB (S) section commander.
