NEW DELHI: Foreign ministry spokesperson
Vikas Swarup on Thursday said Pakistan had failed to rein in Lashkar founder Hafiz Saeed.
Despite a ban imposed last year on media coverage of militant groups like Jamaat-ud-Dawa and Lashkar, the electronic media continued to show Saeed’s speeches in which he spewed venom against India, Swarup said.
Asked about the progress on Pathankot probe by Pakistan and if that country had sought any fresh evidence, the external affairs ministry spokesperson did not give a direct answer and said the government was looking at what action was being taken to bring the perpetrators of
Pathankot attack to justice.
