Hyderabad: With the announcement of re-poll in Puranapul Municipal Division, the heartbeat of the political leaders has increased. With the fear of defeat, some of the MIM leaders continued their political activities in Puranapul area which is the violation of Election Code of Conduct. These leaders continued their meetings, instructions and worships in Puranapul Division even at the eleventh hour.
Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi is alleged to have continued his political activities yesterday in order to muster support for MIM candidate for the re-poll scheduled to be held today. It is alleged that he issued instructions to MIM cadre. He visited Jalal Koocha and other places of Puranapul Municipal Division. He reached Jamia Nizamia. He offered Zohar prayer in Puranapul area and met the worshippers individually.
Authentic sources revealed that negotiations were held from the residents of Pardiwada at Darusalam yesterday which is the headquarters of MIM. Their support was sought for the re-poll today.
Puranapul Municipal Division has assumed historical importance where MIM is moving tooth and nail to retain its power in this area whereas Congress is making an attempt to set its foot in Puranapul area.
